Prostate cancer is the most common cancer found in men. With the advent of the PSA blood test, it is typically diagnosed early before symptoms develop. Treatment options include watchful waiting, surgery (radical retropubic prostatectomy), and radiation therapy (external beam or prostate seed implantation). One or more of these options may be appropriate depending on the patient’s age, stage, PSA, and Gleason grade.
